This Waist Fan Costs $25 on Amazon — So Naturally, We Had to Test It

Disney World can be sweltering, especially during the hottest months of summer, and we’re always on the lookout for the best ways to keep cool.

If you’re waiting in a long line, or snagged a spot for the next parade or fireworks show early, you may be stuck waiting out in the sun, and you’ve gotta do all you can to keep your body temperature regulated. We’ve tried cooling towels, mini fans, cooling rings, and now, we tried an entire Waist Fan, which may be one of the most powerful tools of all!

This Waist Fan costs just $25 on Amazon, and we weren’t totally sure how it would work at first. But all you have to do is strap it on your waistband and go. We find that this will likely work best for someone who carries a lot of heat in their torso or their trunk, and if you don’t mind carrying around a little extra weight to get a serious cooling effect. It’s not super heavy by any means, but it is still something extra to have on your body during a long day!

We used it indoors, and it amplified the AC so much that it was almost a little too much. If you’re the type who overheats easily, even in indoor spaces, this is absolutely a must-grab. We personally feel this is a fantastic option for the price. It works very well, has three different modes on the fan.

We also love the versatility of the fan — you can clip it to your clothes, or it comes with a belt-like strap if you’re concerned your clothes won’t support the weight, or you can wear it on a lanyard around your neck.

The only thing we didn’t love about it was the sound of the fan constantly all day, as it was a bit on the louder side, but if you’re not affected negatively by sounds like that, or the cooling effects far outweigh it, then this is still worth the purchase.

Overall, we LOVED this purchase for Disney World. It is so nice to have a cooling effect that works and is hands-free. We used this at full blast for about 4 hours, and you can easily recharge it using a FuelRod if need be. We were very surprised at the quality of the fan for the price and would even gift this to some of our Disney adult friends, that’s how much we loved it.
