Staying at a Disney World hotel can get you some pretty nice perks. First, you get access to Disney’s transportation system. You also get Early Theme Park Entry, so you can enter the park 30 minutes earlier than everyone else. Disney World Deluxe hotel guests can also get Extended Evening Hours.

Everyone staying at a Disney World hotel can also get free water park tickets for their arrival day. Well, that perk just got even better because you can now choose between TWO water parks — they’re both open for the first time since 2019.

Over the past few years, Disney World has only kept one water park open at a time, while the other was being refurbished. Most recently, Blizzard Beach was closed, while Typhoon Lagoon was open. However, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are BOTH open, meaning if you’re taking advantage of the free water park ticket perk, you’ll get to choose which water park you want to visit.

So, which water park is for you? Well, the two have very distinctive themes. Typhoon Lagoon was created after a massive typhoon ripped through a tropical paradise, and what you see is the aftermath of that typhoon, including a ship called Miss Tilly trapped at the top of a mountain.

Blizzard Beach’s story is that a rare snowstorm hit Florida and turned the area into a winter wonderland. So the area was turned into a winter resort, but even after all the snow melted, its attractions remained, including a ski lift.
