Prepare To Be SHOCKED: A Budget Airline Was Just Named America's BEST Airline

Spirit Airlines took home a BIG win this week, as the budget carrier was named the Best Airline Overall for 2025 by WalletHub.

In putting together their rankings, WalletHub “compared the nine largest U.S. airlines and two regional carriers across 14 important metrics using 2024 data from the U.S. Department of Transportation.”

In a press release issued by Spirit, the airline says that the award “highlights the carrier’s ongoing commitment to deliver the best value in the sky and provide a seamless travel experience for all guests.”

In addition to being named the overall best airline, it was also named the top airline for safety and affordability.

The WalletHub award is the latest in a series of accolades for Spirit, including being commended as a 2025 Four Star Low Cost Carrier by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) and receiving a Diamond Award of Excellence for the seventh consecutive year by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
