Are you heading on your first Royal Caribbean Cruise but are starting to get overwhelmed by all the add-on options? Don’t worry—we’re here to help.

When sailing with Royal Caribbean, there are three add-on options for drinks and beverages.
The Classic Soda Package includes all Coca-Cola drinks, the Refreshment Package includes soda plus coffee, teas, juices, and non-alcoholic cocktails, or the Deluxe Beverage Package includes all of the other packages plus cocktails, beer, and wine.

That’s a lot of different choices and how do you know which one to get? Let’s talk about which package might be right for you.
The Classic Soda Package ($9.99 to $12.99 per person per day)

Why the Classic Soda Package might be right for you:
- Have kids who are fully ready for their vacation
- Only plan on drinking once or twice during your cruise
- Are looking for more affordable options
The Refreshment Package ($32 to $38 per person per day)

Why the Refreshment Package might be right for you:
- You enjoy specialty coffee drinks
- Want some drinks that feel special like mocktails
- If you are only going to have an alcoholic drink once a day
The Deluxe Beverage Package ($56 to $115 per person per day)

Why the Deluxe Beverage Package might be right for you:
- Want complete freedom and not have to worry about making charges
- Plan to drink at almost every meal
- You want the choice to drink whatever you want when you want it

There’s also one important thing to remember: You can always add a drink in the moment! If you didn’t purchase the alcohol package but want a glass of wine at dinner, you can pay by the glass. If you got the soda package but decided you wanted that super cool latte you saw someone else walk by with, you can purchase it there.

If you decide to go with the Deluxe Beverage Package, you must add it to every adult member in the cabin, so it can feel very all or nothing. With all this information, we have no doubt you’ll pick the best package for your family!

When we go, we tend to stick with the Refreshment Package but add on a few drinks during dinner. This helps keep the cost down without feeling like we need to drink at every meal to make up the price. We also love to have soda options throughout the day!
