Magic Kingdom is about to get some major upgrades!

The original Disney World park is about to look a lot different. Villains Land is underway, Cars Land is in the permit process, and we have to say goodbye to Tom Sawyer Island in the near future. Now we have another new look at a brand new nighttime parade coming to this park!
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is the brand new nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom in the summer of 2025 and we now another another brand new look at the parade. Disney shared the first look at the Coco float set to feature Miguel, Dante, and Pepita!

This float shows the characters on the marigold bridge that leads into the Land of the Dead. Guests will see Sugar Skull fireworks, hear mariachi music, and see Pepita’s wings spread over the crowd. Disney also shared the first look at the new poster for the parade!

The poster features Elsa, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Miguel, Moana, Peter Pan, Wendy, the Blue Fairy, and Cinderella Castle! There are also stars and magic floating down the poster stringing all of our favorite Disney stories together. Disney has previously shared several other pieces of concept art for additional parade floats.

The floats are heavily inspired by the history of nighttime parades at the parks and some of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ earliest animated films. For example, the princess unit pays homage to Disney Legend and artist Mary Blair’s original concept artwork for Disney Animation’s Cinderella.

Disney has even shared some behind-the-scenes looks at the costumes coming to the attraction which left us in awe! We don’t have an exact date for when the parade is set to begin but we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will know even more details sooner rather than later.

We are also eagerly awaiting news and updates on the Villains Land coming to the park behind Big Thunder Mountain! This new land will feature 2 new attractions, dining, shopping, and more to immerse you in villainy! Permits connected to the development of the land were recently approved.

Not only is this land going to transform the park, Frontierland is getting a major overhaul with the addition of Cars! This project will also be adding 2 new attractions to the parks however it will result in the permanent closure of Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Belle Riverboat.

Permits have also been approved connected to this new area and construction is set to begin in 2025. There is so much change headed our way (which can be exciting and sad at the same time) but we are super excited to kick it all off with Disney Starlight! As always, keep following AllEars for all of your Disney news and updates.
