Disney Cruise Line is making even more changes to its luggage tags! In January, Disney Cruise Line announced changes to its luggage tags, including removing the barcode and coloring them based on the ship.

Well, even more changes will be coming to the iconic luggage tags, and we have all the information you need to know if you are headed on a Disney cruise soon!
The Disney Cruise Line Luggage Tag Mailer process has been redesigned for added efficiency. Travelers will begin receiving a new format of luggage tags in mid-March, although there may be some overlap in formats while the transition is taking place.

The new luggage tags will be the size of a double-sided postcard and include various information. On the tags will be the ship name, itinerary, sail dates, port arrival time, stateroom number (if available), and stateroom guest(s) names. Additionally, a QR code will now be included to allow guests to log in and view additional port arrival information.

The QR code will take guests to an online booklet with lots of information for their upcoming cruise. It will include details about the guest’s cruise, including the port’s address, luggage tag information, citizenship documentation, My Online Check-In, what to pack, and much more.

Have no fear if you receive their old format of luggage tags or don’t receive your luggage tags at all, though. Luggage tags will still be available from the porters upon arrival at the port, and guests can access the online booklet of information without needing to scan the QR code. You can access the booklet on the Disney Cruise Line website by clicking Already Booked > My Reservations > Get Details under Before You Can Board.

These changes are to make the process more efficient for guests and Cast Members. We will be curious to see if any additional changes are made as they begin using this new format of luggage tags.
