A New Ride CLOSURE Popped Up on the Disneyland Calendar

Who’s ready to hear about another planned refurbishment? Wooo!

Ok, ok, so we know no one is ‘wooing’ about upcoming refurbishment news since closures aren’t the happiest of news, but it’s always best to know ahead of time when planning your upcoming trip to Disneyland. So stay prepared and here’s all you need to know about the latest refurbishment happening at the happiest place on earth!

Starting on January 6th, 2025, as featured on the official Disneyland website, the Disneyland Monorail will be undergoing a refurbishment that will lead it to be temporarily closed for guests during that time.

This closure seems to go on until January 30th on the website’s calendar, with no opening date listed as of yet. Refurbishments are scheduled to keep attractions and vehicles working in pristine condition and to guarantee the safety of guests. So although we are disappointed at not being able to zoom through Disneyland in these iconic vehicles, we understand that it is much needed.

In the meantime, alternative transportation options are available, including the resort tram service which runs from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures to the Main Entrance Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Aside from the temporary Monorail closure, Disney California Adventure’s Grizzly River Run is also scheduled to close for refurbishment on January 6, 2025, through March 13, 2025.
