CONFIRMED: Universal DELAYS Opening of NEW Epic Universe Hotel

We’ve been waiting on the edges of our seats for any updates we can get about Universal’s NEW theme park, Epic Universe.

The park is opening in May 2025 along with three new hotels — two of which will open before the park does. Except, it looks like one of these hotels won’t open quite as early as originally planned.

Universal Orlando has officially delayed the opening of its new Terra Luna Resort, set to open ahead of Epic Universe.

The hotel was originally supposed to open on February 25th, 2025, but instead will open exactly one month later on March 25th, 2025.

When we spoke with a Universal team member, they didn’t share the reasoning for why the hotel wasn’t going to open as scheduled, but they did advise that Terra Luna’s sister resort — Stella Nova — would be opening as planned on January 21st.

If you’ve got a stay planned at Terra Luna between the original opening date and the new opening date, look out for a call from Universal to reschedule or amend your stay. A team member reached out to us and gave us the option to switch our stay to Stella Nova, or just swap it to the new opening date.

While this may be disappointing news, Universal is being flexible with any potential changes you might need to make because of the news.
