runDisney Announces NEW Virtual Love on the Run Race for 2025

If you’re a fan of runDisney events, but can’t make it to Disney World, did you know you could race in virtual events?

Yes! In addition to in-person events at Disney World and Disneyland, runDisney also hosts several virtual races throughout the year where you can participate from home. And just like the in-person events, those races have a theme. Well, runDisney just announced a NEW race in 2025, and the theme is all about love.

A new runDisney virtual event is coming in 2025 and it’s called Love on the Run. Yes, the theme is all about love, and yes, the marathon takes place around Valentine’s Day from February 1st through 28th. The race is made up of three races that will equal up to 14 miles. It’s hosted by “adored Disney and Pixar duos” themed around love and friendship.

The events include a 2-Miler hosted by BFFs Minnie and Daisy…

…a 5-miler hosted by Wall-E and EVE…

..and .a 7-miler with Jessie and Buzz Lightyear. That’s a total of 14 miles.

During the event, you’ll have access to digital tools like digital race bibs, mile markers, and finisher certificates. Once you complete the 14 miles, you’ll also get four medals, an embroidered blanket, and a magnet to celebrate. Here’s a sneak peek at one of the medals:

Registration is $187 and opens on September 17th, 2024 at 10AM ET. You’ll be able to register at that time on the runDisney website. Note that the fees for the race are non-refundable and will include a processing fee. Also, all participants must be 14 years of age or older on race day and able to complete the race on their own. You’ll track your times and completion is based on the honor system. Once you complete your run, you’ll visit the finisher website to submit your finish time and download your race certificate.
