Theme parks across the U.S. are offering some pretty cool experiences that aren’t necessarily typical of theme parks.

For example, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is part theme park and part zoo and was a game-changer when it opened in 1998. There’s also a new Americana-themed park coming to the Midwest soon. Mattel is building a new theme park in Kansas City, and it will have a section devoted to Barbie! Well, one existing theme park is now offering a luxury experience within its walls, and we have to tell you about it.
This experience is available at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, which has just opened Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa for a glamping trip in the middle of the theme park’s 350-acre Six Flags Wild Safari, which is home to over 1,000 animals. The price? The cheapest glamping suite goes for $600 per night.

Yep, that’s more expensive than most nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is a hotel set in the middle of Disney World’s savannah. However, that $600 (or more) gets you a glamping suite that sleeps from two to six guests with each suite “thoughtfully designed to provide the utmost comfort and style with world-class amenities.” You’ll also get to enjoy views of the animals from the suite as well as engage in close-up animal encounters plus have access to Six Flags Great Adventure theme park and Hurricane Harbor water park.

Included benefits with a two-night minimum stay also include a giraffe feeding, daily breakfast, and multi-park passes to all three Six Flags Great Adventure theme parks. You’ll also get VIP dining experiences. There’s also a spa with holistic treatments with expert therapists.
Savannah Sunset Resort and Spa is one of the largest investments made by Six Flags Great Adventure in 20 years. The park is also debuting its 15th roller coaster this summer, The FLASH: Vertical Velocity, a first-of-its-kind roller coaster in North America.

So if you plan on visiting New Jersey or need a reason to visit New Jersey, this could be a good one. You could be sleeping in a luxury tent under the stars surrounded by wildlife for a mere $600 per night. That being said, this would be a fun and unique getaway for couples and families looking to do something a little different, especially if they live nearby.
However, if you’d just like to see the animals, you can visit Six Flags Great Adventure and take the Safari Off-Road Adventure where you’ll get to see bison, elephants, rhinos, lions, antelope, bears, tigers, and more.
