Disney Is Releasing an 'Alien' Book For Kids. Yes, Really.

In 2019, Disney bought 21st Century Fox, which meant that the company got a whole new slew of movies and TV shows to add to its roster.

That includes The Simpsons, which you can now watch on Disney+, as well as new movies like The Creator, which is now available on Hulu. Disney also acquired the rights to the Alien sci-fi horror franchise and is now turning that franchise into a…kid’s book? It’s true! And now you can pre-order that book online.

That’s right. The Alien franchise has been turned into A is for Alien, a Little Golden Book by Disney. The cover even includes one of those famous aliens, along with Ripley and Jonesey (ultimately, this is a story about how a woman and a cat survive an alien attack on a spaceship).

The book follows Ripley and the crew of the Nostromo on a space adventure that includes the alphabet. Although the book has fun illustrations, we’re kinda thinking that most kids haven’t seen Alien (it’s R-rated, after all), so this book is probably meant for older fans of the movie franchise. This just might be THE Alien collectible of the decade to get.
