There are so many changes coming to the Disney parks…it can be hard to keep up!

Splash Mountain closed to make way for the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride, Country Bear Jamboree is getting some updates in Magic Kingdom, and a new Disney show is coming soon. However, we now know that another Disney experience is closing.
According to Scott Gustin, Disneyland has confirmed that Tale of the Lion King will close after its final performance on January 7th, 2024.

Disney’s “Tale of the Lion King” is an adaptation of the original Disney movie, The Lion King, and has been entertaining Disneyland guests with stories, music, and dance since its premiere in 2019. Back in 2019, it was available throughout the summer and was scheduled to end its run in September. It returned in May 2022.

In the meantime, if you want to catch the show before it closes, head over to the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park. There are typically several showtimes each day — check the Disneyland app for the most up-to-date information on your visit.
