May is Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, and Disney is putting on quite the celebration!

We’ve already seen the list of eats coming to Disney World for the celebration, but now Disneyland has announced that they will be offering a variety of activities for the event. Let’s check out all the live music, treats, events, and activities coming to the parks!
Downtown Disney District
Downtown Disney Live! Stage
Complimentary performances will take place at the Downtown Disney Live! stage:
- Faiva – Mondays and Wednesdays: A 4-piece Polynesian band performing blissful harmonies
- The Filharmonic – Tuesdays: A 5-piece Filipino a cappella vocal group performing hip hop, pop, and ‘90s nostalgia
- Tupua – Thursdays and Fridays: A high-energy Polynesian show of dance and drums invites you to join in the fun
- Chinese Cultural Splendor – Saturdays and Sundays: A group that shows the beauty of Chinese dance, martial arts, lion dance, and the radiant costumes of Chinese dynasties

You can find the appearance times here.
WonderGround Gallery
Meet artists Jerrod Maruyama, Joey Chou, Ann Shen, and June Kim, who will autograph their work and discuss what inspires them from 3PM to 5PM on Saturday and Sunday, May 21st and 22nd.

This is a great opportunity to meet with artists and learn more about their work!
Kayla’s Cake
This bakery company was founded by sisters Kayla Lee and Eunjoo Kang, who make fresh, flavorful macarons.

Stop by this cart to grab a treat!
Disneyland Resort Hotels
Overnight guests can participate in experiences like learning to play the ukulele, make a ribbon lei, or practice the Chinese martial art of Tai Chi. For reservations or information, contact the front desk of your Disneyland Resort Hotel.
Disneyland Hotel
Guests can listen to ukulele music every night and take a complimentary hula lesson on the weekends over at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar!

This experience is offered along with the regular menu items at Tangaroa Terrace, where you can order Thick and Fluffy Japanese Pancakes, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Poke Bowls.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
Guests can sip sake by ordering a flight or craft cocktail by Nova Brewing Co.

That wraps up the offerings for Disneyland Resort Hotels!
Disney California Adventure Park
Pixar Pier
There’s a Turning Red photo op near Pixar Pier!

It will only be around for a limited time, so stop by soon.
Disneyland Park
Main Street, U.S.A.
Stop by to see the Children’s Day window display outside of the Emporium! It pays homage to Japanese Children’s Day celebrated on May 5th, when families display koinobori also known as “carp streamers” to symbolize determination and success, and Kabuto helmets which represent strength and vitality. There are also other games featured from various Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander cultures.

So head over to Disneyland Resort for AANHPI Heritage Month to enjoy these offerings! And, for the latest Disney news, stay tuned to AllEars.
