NEWS: Disney+ Casts Lead for New ‘National Treasure’ Series

Disney+ has a lot of cool things coming to it, especially with Disney+ Day later in November.

Although Disney+ Day will feature lots of new content (and the addition of some premium content on the normal subscription), one new series that we’re super excited to see won’t be premiering on that day. But never fear — we just learned more details about this upcoming show!

Which new show are we talking about? The National Treasure TV Series!

We learned a while ago that this show will be coming to Disney+. It’s a continuation of the National Treasure movies, and it’s being created by the same writers and producers who worked on the original movies.

The show’s protagonist is named Jess Morales. Morales is a 20-year-old woman who is trying to uncover her family’s strange history and find hidden treasure at the same time. And now we know the actress who will play her!

According to Deadline, Lisette Alexis will play Jess Morales in the new show. Alexis is an emerging actress, so this show could be one of the first that audiences will see her in.
