The Secret Life of Pets Ride at Universal Hollywood Opens EARLY!

Things are getting busy out on the West Coast, with many California theme parks set to reopen soon. Disneyland Resort officially reopens on April 30th, but Universal Hollywood will reopen on April 16th.

Originally, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash was set to debut at Universal Hollywood in 2020. Now, a year after the park closed, that ride is finally set to premiere when the park reopens.

According to Attractions Magazine, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash has opened a little early — for technical rehearsals during Universal Hollywood’s Taste of Universal event. The concept of the ride is that guests are being transformed into puppies, where Max, Duke, Gidget, and Snowball will help them face the streets of New York City to get adopted.

Guests can expect to see the familiar apartments from The Secret Life of Pets films in the queue.

The loading area has the guests loaded into cardboard boxes that takes them on an adventure through New York City.

Eventually, the ride ends with the puppies all going to their furr-ever homes. Is anyone else thinking this might be the sweetest ride EVER? We’re not going to lie — we want to ride this, like, yesterday. We’ll keep you updated on any other Universal Hollywood reopening news, too.
