4 HUGE Announcements Just Revealed by Disney

From theme park expansions at Magic Kingdom to a new hotel, new movies, and much more, Disney is very busy these days. But now…we’ve got even MORE announcements for you!

Disney held its 2026 Shareholder Meeting on March 18th, 2026. During that meeting, we heard from the newly selected CEO, Josh D’Amaro, received an update on key business matters within the Walt Disney Company, and learned what Disney is working on today. And there is a LOT to unpack!

Here’s a breakdown of all the major announcements Disney made during its 2026 Shareholder Meeting:

Release Date for Incredibles 3

Fans of The Incredibles will want to pull out their calendars ASAP. Disney revealed that The Incredibles 3 will hit theaters on June 26th, 2028. Yes, that’s a whole year away, but now you have time to start planning.

Release Date For Live-Action Lilo & Stitch Sequel

We recently learned that the live-action Lilo & Stitch would be getting a sequel. We now know when the sequel will arrive in theaters: on May 26th, 2028. Yes, that’s two big Disney releases to plan for in 2028.

New Look at Toy Story 5

Speaking of sequels, everyone is excited about Toy Story 5 after Disney recently dropped a trailer for the movie. Well, Disney dropped an exclusive look at the continued scene from the trailer when the toys first interact with Lily Pad, the movie’s antagonist. Disney showed a clip where Jessie goes to meet Lily Pad and then argues with her so she can win Bonnie back.

New Disney Cruise Line Ship

Finally, Disney revealed a NEW cruise ship coming to its fleet, the Disney Believe. The Disney Believe will focus on “powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams.” It will include characters and stories from Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, The Little Mermaid, and more. The Disney Believe is expected to first set sail in late 2027.

Disney is working on many major projects right now, so we expect this to be just the beginning of more major announcements. The D23 fan convention (D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Experience) will be taking place this year in Anaheim, California. That usually is another source of MAJOR updates when it comes to the theme parks, movies, entertainment, merchandise, and more. We cannot wait to see just what announcements are made there.
