CONFIRMED: 5 Hour DELAY Hits Popular Disney World Activity Tomorrow

Disney World is BUSY this weekend, and that’s going to result in a delayed opening for a popular Disney World activity!

Disney World’s runDisney marathon weekend is underway, and it’s going to last through January 11th. That means we’ve seen busy parks and busy roads, and that’s going to be the case for one more day. With the marathon happening this weekend, Disney announced that there will be a bit of a delayed opening it’s mini golf course.

Due to road closures during Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf will have a delayed opening on January 11th at 3 PM.

The mini golf course usually opens at 10 AM, so its opening time is being pushed back 5 hours. Just something you may want to be aware of if you’re on vacation or have plans to check out the popular family activity.

If you do plan on visiting the parks during the marathon weekend, make sure to bring your patience with you. Buying Lightning Lane may be a great way to maximize your day, or just paying attention to wait times on the My Disney Experience app. Also, making any dining reservations as soon as possible, as walk-up lists may be impossible to get.

Also, EPCOT will be opening an hour later than normal on January 11th, due to the marathon. Instead of 9 AM, EPCOT will be opening at 10 AM. Again, just something to pay attention to for anyone who has a Disney day planned at EPCOT tomorrow.
