The Internet Will Come for Me, But I Despise These 3 Disney World Souvenirs

I’m a sucker for a good Disney World souvenir, but that doesn’t mean every souvenir is a winner…

My home is absolutely decked out in Disney merch, but there are still some popular Disney souvenirs I just can’t get behind. While I may get torched by the internet for my aversion to these souvenirs, I’m here to say these three things are simply overrated — at least in my opinion.

Bubble Wands

Look, when you’re a small kid, bubble wands are the absolute best Disney souvenir. However, in my experience, they can be expensive, high-maintenance, and a nuisance to folks nearby. Bubble wands are a Disney World staple, and I totally get the fascination — they’re just not my favorite souvenir.

Ponchos and Umbrellas

Don’t get it twisted — rain ponchos and umbrellas can come in super handy at Disney World, considering how often it rains and how wet you can get on water rides. With that said, Disney is likely to overcharge you for these products, and you might not be getting the best quality.

First Aid Essentials

There may come a time when something happens — you get a nosebleed, your child scrapes their knee and needs a bandage, etc. — where you’ll need to have some first aid essentials handy. If you haven’t packed any, you’ll have to go through Disney’s services, and if you try to buy a pack of anything, you will be upcharged.
