You remember that moment in Incredibles 2 when the Parr family drives past their new mansion while “Diggin’ the New Digs” plays in the background? Well, this new house at the Storyliving by Disney community at Contino Bay is going to have you feeling like life’s incredible again!
The Artisan Club at Cotino is the very first Storyliving by Disney community that is coming to life in the Palm Springs area. We’ve been getting lots of news about the new area, and we have even more to share with you. You won’t believe it, but at this community you’ll be able to experience life like the Incredibles!
You’re going to fall in love with this house dahhhhling! Disney gave us a first look at the Parr House at Cotino — the first Storyliving by Disney community. This house is inspired by the mansion that the Parr family moves to in Incredibles 2. Seriously, this might be the greatest thing ever!
Wait till you see the inside, which looks like it was pulled directly off the screen. It has the same hanging lights, couch, windows, upstairs, kitchen — the details are amazing. Disney shared some concept art before.
A new dream of ours is to blast “Digging the New Digs” while running around the mansion like Dash.
The house overlooks the shores of Cotino Bay. This one-of-a-kind space is for voluntary Artisan Club members and will host programming, special events, and even overnight stays. Fees and terms do apply. Now, Disney just shared an ACTUAL photo teasing the house’s interior — check it out!
That’s just one of the many things to be excited about with this new Disney community. We have a lot to share with you, because Disney announced new restaurants and retailers for the first phase of Cotino Bay Beach. Let’s take a look at everything!
Cotino announced restaurants Elevare, On the Mark Fine Foods & Provisions (locally-owned), Khaga Yoga, and Artigiano (the first U.S. location of Canadian-based specialty coffee shop) as the initial tenants for the town center. The town center is scheduled to open to the public in fall 2026, and it will be called Cotino Bay Beach, Dining, and Shops. It will add a variety of amazing experiences to the area and provide visitors with access to Cotino Bay for a fee.
“Our vision for Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops goes beyond a new development – we’re creating a vibrant new destination the entire region can enjoy,” said senior vice president and general manager of Disney Signature Experiences Emerging Businesses, Claire Bilby. “This curated mix of shopping and dining, paired with the must-visit appeal of Cotino Bay Beach, really enhances the community lifestyle here by creating new opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the magic of the Cotino community.”
The first town center tenants include:
- Elevare – The menu is rooted in refined American cuisine. The restaurant offers fresh dishes inspired by the laid-back sophistication of California’s vibrant food scene while incorporating local, seasonal ingredients. The waterfront restaurant includes a lively dining room with an expansive terrace offering unmatched views of Cotino Bay and the surrounding San Jacinto Mountains. The dining spot will be open for lunch and dinner daily, as well as offer brunch on weekends.
- Artigiano – This spot has been a pioneer for Canada’s coffee culture for over 26 years, and even introduced the art of espresso and café hospitality to Vancouver long before specialty coffee became popular. Artigiano has grown from a single café into a celebrated brand known for its award-winning coffee. This will be the first time it enters the U.S., and it’s bringing its signature 100% Arabica blends and thoughtfully sourced organic ingredients. This will be in the Rancho Mirage community.
- On the Mark Fine Foods & Provisions – This beloved Palm Springs specialty market will bring its curated selection of artisan goods, premium meats, sandwiches, wines, unique craft beers, and more to its second location in Rancho Mirage. This will be a great place to shop for delicious treats, bites, and a nice glass of wine.
- Khaga Yoga – This yoga sanctuary for students of all levels is coming to Rancho Mirage. It offers traditional disciplines and contemporary styles, with a team of teachers that will deliver a diverse range of classes designed to support each individual’s journey toward health and well-being. There will be two thoughtfully designed studios, a retail boutique with yoga accessories and essentials, and classes for kids and families.
Cotino Bay Beach, Dining, and Shops is going to offer premier dining and shopping experiences with local and national brands, and an open-air artisan market. Remember, the first phase of this project doesn’t open until the fall of 2026, with additional tenant announcements expected to drop over the next few months — which could include plans for a hotel and additional retail space.
The Cotino community is being brought to life by Disney Imagineers, offering a range of amenities and access to Disney programs and engaging events through voluntary Artisan Club membership. The community’s “stunning backdrop in the Coachella Valley, a beloved and rejuvenating retreat for Walt and Lillian Disney, Cotino is designed for relaxation, recreation, and community.”
The community’s exclusive homebuilders include Shea Homes, Woodbridge Pacific Group, and Davidson Communities. The houses offer flexible floor plans and different layouts, designed to showcase the beauty of the desert. The homes are not cheap, as we’re sure you could imagine, as they start in the mid $1 million. If you’re interested in purchasing a home, community tours including model homes are now available!
