Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away has officially debuted at the Magic Kingdom!

The new nighttime parade has blown us away and even debuted with crowds waiting up to 5 hours for the best parade spots. Disney also changed park pass reservation rules in anticipation of the crowds, and now, they’re changing the rules again!
Disney has just announced that park pass reservations for Annual Passholders are changing again! Disney previously announced that Annual Passholders would need a park reservation when entering Magic Kingdom, no matter the time of day.

This change was made in anticipation of large crowds due to Starlight’s debut on July 20th, 2025. Now, Disney has confirmed that the limited-time change is over!

The change was only in place from July 20th until July 27th. Beginning today, July 28th, the park pass reservation rules will return to normal for Annual Passholders. This means you can enter Magic Kingdom without a park reservation after 2 PM! Annual Passholders will still need park reservations on Saturdays and Sundays, no matter the time of the day.

The three other parks were unaffected during this change, and park hopping remains in place as well! Currently, only Annual Passholders or guests with select non-date-based tickets are required to have park reservations when trying to enter before 2 PM.

We’re excited to see this change return back to normal so we can easily see the new parade kick off with the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio as she lights up the night! You can also see characters like the Disney Princesses, Peter Pan, Mirabel, Miguel, and more.

You can also see Whimsy, who is the train, where you can see Goofy, Donald, Mickey, Minnie, and more! This new parade has really knocked us off our feet, and we hope it stays around for years to come. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news.

Getting an annual pass next month. Are there days where getting a park reservation is difficult, or is it just a formality? Are there only so many annual pass reservations per day or what?
Mostly a formality, except for busy season days and holidays. Never had an issue with my Pixie pass.
