Now that we know when we can buy our tickets for this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland Resort, it’s time we focus on what’s CHANGING!

Disney’s immensely popular Halloween event is coming back on select nights from August 17th through October 31st, 2025, and while it might still be the name of the party we know (and LOVE), it’s not always the same from year to year. Disney has BIG changes in store for this year’s frightful festivities, and some of them are harder to spot than others.
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!Â
Disney’s gearing up for a spooktacular Halloween season with the return of Oogie Boogie Bash to Disney California Adventure.

We’re huge fans of this spirited event where we can meet with rare Disney characters and villains dressed in their Halloween costumes, follow the treat trails for some delicious candies, and spend the evening taking in the event’s exclusive parade, fireworks, and show.

If you’re planning on attending one (or more) of this year’s Oogie Boogie Bashes, it’s sure to be a night you won’t soon forget! However, there are several things about this year’s event that will change from last year, and you know we couldn’t leave you in the dark!
Character Costumes
This year, you can expect to find several of our favorite Disney pals dressed in all-new costumes during the party.

Disney’s already shared some insight into what we can expect for Mickey and Minnie’s updated costumes. During Oogie Boogie Bash, you’ll find Minnie dressed as a boo-tiful witch and Mickey donning a powerful sorcerer costume. A few more of their friends will dress to impress this Halloween in bright new looks featuring swirling colors of purple, green, and orange — a twist on their 70th Celebration outfits!

New Food
What’s a party without good food, huh?! We’ll be dining on some brand-new eats this year during Oogie Boogie Bash.

We expect Disney to announce the full menus when we get closer to the first night of the event, but they have teased a few we can anticipate, like the jalapeño-cream cheese bread! Keep your eyes peeled for new limited-time snacks and returning fan-favorite flavors across the resort.

Construction
Yep, this one will throw you for a loop if you’re not already planning around it.

Ongoing construction at Disney California Adventure has closed off the shortcut between Avengers Campus and Cars Land areas, which means you’ll need to plan to take the longer route around.
Higher Ticket Prices
Although this might seem like a given nowadays with the party’s popularity and the rising cost of most things around Disney parks lately, for this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash, you’ll want to take note of a slight change to the cost of your tickets.

This year’s tickets will be slightly higher, starting at $5 MORE than last year’s starting prices. While it might not feel like a huge sting to your wallet for one or two tickets, this is certainly a difference you’ll want to budget for in advance so it doesn’t catch you off guard while you’re making your purchase.
Don’t go away! We’ll be busy keeping up with the latest news and updates as we count down to Oogie Boogie Bash’s opening day. Be sure to stay tuned with us at AllEars to see it all FIRST!
