NEWS: Epic Universe Will Be Sharing Its Grand Opening Celebration With You for FREE

Did you realize that we are just one week away from Epic Universe opening its portals to the world? YES, ONE WEEK! It feels like we have been waiting forever, but now it’s pretty unbelievable to think the time has come.

It’s true, we have been getting the opportunity to get into the park for many preview dates. However, that doesn’t take away from the excitement of opening day! To make us more excited, there’s a special surprise on the horizon for the park’s opening date — take a look at what we’ve found.

Mark your calendars for May 22nd, because that’s when Epic Universe finally opens. It’s going to be a huge day, and we recently saw something that’ll make the day even bigger!  We spotted permits giving us a look into some of Universal’s plans for the grand opening. The permits were for drones, pyrotechnics, and even celebrity guests. You know what else the plans revealed? Even the TODAY show will be in there!

Epic Universe contains five immersive lands! You’ll be able to step through the portals into the worlds of: Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk. This park is unlike anything anyone has ever seen before.

Well, even if you can’t make it to the grand opening in person, you’re in luck! Universal confirmed it will live stream the celebration of Epic Universe’s opening — which means you’re invited to the Grand Opening! You can enjoy the ceremony from the comfort of your own home, no Epic ticket required.

Alright, next question — when’s the live stream happening? The live stream will take place on Wednesday, May 21st, at 6 PM ET. Wait…Epic Universe opens on May 22nd. You’d be correct, BUT the opening celebration will take place the night BEFORE the park officially opens! Get your popcorn ready, get your calendars marked, because this is going to be a one-of-a-kind event.

What’s fun about celebrations like this is you never know what to expect, and what surprises Universal has in store for us! What celebrities are going to be there? What’s happening with the pyrotechnics? All those questions will be answered soon enough. Even though it’s not confirmed, we have this feeling that there will be fireworks!

We’re so excited for the grand opening, and we’re definitely going to have to tune into the live stream.
