That being said, there is one unexpected change that might leave your wallet feeling a little lighter. A new pricing policy on Disney Cruise Line means that if you want a drink served in a souvenir cup, you’ll have to buy the cup, too—and it’s not cheap. Here’s what you need to know so you’re not caught off guard on your next Disney cruise.
The $130 Drink You Weren’t Expecting
One of the lounges on Disney Cruise Line’s latest ship, the Disney Treasure, is the Scat Cat Lounge.
This is a classy lounge
Themed after The Aristocats, it’s a stylish spot with hidden details referencing the beloved movie. But one particular drink offering is making waves for an entirely different reason.
That’s a cat!
If you’re eyeing the Cat’s Meow cocktail, be prepared for sticker shock. This drink, made with Angel’s Envy, Amaro Montenegro, Apero, and Lemon, comes in a special embossed cat glass. And here’s the kicker—you have to buy the glass if you want the drink. That means you’re paying $130 for a single cocktail.
Why So Expensive?
If you’re anything like us, you’ve got to be wondering why Disney is suddenly charging so much for a drink. The reason is that guests have been stealing souvenir glasses.
Cat’s Meow
On the Disney Wish, there’s a lounge called Nightingale’s. One of the signature drinks there, the Sweet Nightingale, is served in a delicate glass shaped like a bird. The drink itself costs $20, but guests liked the glass so much that many started taking them home—without paying for them.
Since Disney can’t exactly go through everyone’s luggage or comb through hours of security footage, they decided to take a different approach. Instead of trying to track down the stolen glasses, they’ve simply raised the price and included the cost of the cup with the drink.
Now, if you’re hoping to just get the Cat’s Meow without the pricey cup, unfortunately you’ll have to think again. Disney isn’t offering the drink separately.
Budget Accordingly
If you’re planning a Disney Cruise, it’s important to know that little splurges like this can add up quickly. There are plenty of fun souvenirs available on board, so if you’re someone who likes to shop, this is one more expense to consider. And while the Cat’s Meow drink may be a fun experience, $130 is a lot to spend on a single cocktail—especially if you weren’t expecting to shell out that kind of cash.
Before you set sail, make sure to factor in all the potential costs so there are no surprises. Whether it’s dining, excursions, or even unexpected expenses like a pricey souvenir cup, it’s always better to plan ahead.

Jared the Disney wish cruise just got off of in March 2025. Did not provide accommodations for autistic daughter in kids clubs. My father in a wheelchair had to wait on elevators. No seats available at theaters for shows at night. And seated first at dinner but last to be served and took 2 1/2 hrs to eat.
