Could This Permanent CLOSURE Lead to Some BIG Disney World Hotel Changes?

A bar is permanently closing at Disney World and here’s what it could mean for the future.

Jelly Rolls

Jellyrolls, a beloved bar in Disney World, announced it will be closing at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. This is a piano bar on the BoardWalk where guests can enjoy some live music and a few drinks. But, it will shut its door soon to Disney adults.

This closure will happen in the spring of 2025 and comes after the bar has been in operation at Disney World for 30 years. This closure had us thinking that maybe there’s not a big enough market for an adult nightlife scene anymore at Disney World.

Just a few feet away from Jellyrolls, there’s another nightlife venue. The Atlantic Dance Hall is one of the hidden gems of Walt Disney World. The Atlantic City-themed 21+ venue plays music from the 1980s through the present day.

However, if there is no longer a demand for nightlife at Disney World, this venue could be next. However, there is one main reason this might not happen… weddings.

The Atlantic Dance Hall is also one of Disney World’s best under-the-radar wedding spots. As a venue for between 10 and 150 wedding guests, the hall provides features that include a buffet menu, a grand staircase, two large terraces, multilevel balcony seating, and massive windows that serve as wonderful photo backdrops.

We are seeing Disney put more money into lounges with two new ones opening this year at Disney World — The Spaceship Earth Lounge and The Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern. Could this mean more Disney adults want more relaxed spaces like this to enjoy their evenings? We can believe it. After walking around miles and miles all day in the heat, dancing all night long might not be appealing to some.
