Gen Z Will Lose Their Minds Over This Disney Movie Announcement

We’ve got some big news for Descendants fans. The “Born to be Bad” crew has been starring in their own Disney movies since 2015.

Since then, we’ve had four sequels to the films, as well as an animated series of shorts. The most recent movie, Descendants: The Rise of Red, was released last year, but that’s not the end of the franchise. Disney just revealed that a fifth Descendants movie is in the works, according to Variety.

In Descendants 5, Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker will return to their roles as Princess Red and Princess Chloe, the daughters of the Queen of Hearts and Cinderella. The new movie will pick up shortly after The Rise of Red to pick up with what’s been going on for Red and Chloe after their time-traveling adventures.

The film will be set in present-day Wonderland and will even add some new characters, including Liamani Segura as Red’s sister Pink, Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter, Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal, and Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook. Leonardo Nam will return as Maddox Hatter. Disney plans to reveal a title later on. The film will air on the Disney Channel and Disney+.
