We Know What Every 'Lion King' Fan Will Be Buying on December 20th

Disney has been WORKING its movie magic this year with hit after hit.

First, we had Deadpool & Wolverine breaking box office records. Then Inside Out 2 went on to become the most successful animated movie ever. Moana 2 just released and is already breaking box office records. So what’s next? Well, Disney’s next big release is just a few weeks away with Mufasa: The Lion King, and one theater chain has a souvenir Lion King fans will need to get their hands on.

Disney dropped the first trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event several months ago, promising it would be a “promising tearjerker.” The movie finally releases on December 20th, so if you love The Lion King, here’s a prequel that follows Mufasa, an orphaned cub, as he grows up to become King, as well as the father of Simba.

You’ll need to grab something while you’re seeing the movie, though. If you’ll be visiting Regal Cinemas, you can get a special Pride Rock popcorn bucket which features Mufasa standing proudly on Pride Rock!

Now, we have a feeling we might be seeing a lot of new Mufasa merchandise in Disney Parks and online soon, too, so Lion King fans will be wanting to grab up all the new souvenirs.
