The holidays are just around the corner, and one popular fast-food restaurant chain wants to celebrate the spirit of giving.
Leaning into the nostalgia and joy of finding gifts under the Christmas tree and giving loved ones presents each year, McDonald’s is promoting the excitement of giving this holiday season with its latest Happy Meal toys, which will arrive in restaurants on November 26th. Not only will kiddos get the excitement of finding a toy for themselves, but also one for a friend, family member, or neighbor.
Beginning on November 26th, kids will find not one but TWO pet simulator toys in their Happy Meals. One from them and one to gift to someone else, promoting the joy and spirit of giving gifts. The second toy can be given to a friend, a family member, a neighbor, or to spark a smile in someone they meet. Best of all, the second toy will come pre-gift-wrapped, ready to be given away.
The holidays are the perfect time for giving, and McDonald’s reminds everyone that Giving Tuesday is December 3rd, which is the perfect time to grab a Happy Meal and gift your extra toy to spread some extra cheer.
McDonald’s Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Brand, Content, & Culture, Jennifer Healan, shared, “We hope this special Happy Meal inspires kids to share during this season of giving. Sharing is such a big part of the McDonald’s ethos— whether it’s sharing your fries, your McNuggets, or a McFlurry— and now we’re giving our youngest fans the opportunity to do that with their Happy Meal, too. This meal has two toys— one for you, and one for you to gift. Whether they choose to gift their extra toy to a family member, make a friend smile, or show kindness to a neighbor, it’s all about helping kids feel the joy of giving this holiday season.”
Dr. Jazmine McCoy, a family psychologist, also added, “From my experience with families, I’ve seen that children are naturally inclined to be generous. They just need gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement. The McDonald’s Pet Simulator Happy Meal gives parents and caregivers an easy and accessible way to nurture their children’s empathy and let them experience the true joy of giving during the holiday season.”
The Pet Simulator toys will be available in Happy Meals until December 16th, while supplies last, so grab one to encourage giving in your child with the second gift-wrapped toy.
