Lightning Lane Premier Pass is officially rolling out in Disneyland in just a couple of short days and we can’t wait to test it out so you know exactly how it’s going to work!

The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows parkgoers the ability to skip the line at every attraction with a Lightning Lane without specific reservations. Disneyland guests can purchase Premier Passes up to TWO days ahead of their park visit, and we’re breaking that process down for you — let’s get into it.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass debuts at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on October 23rd and can be booked two days in advance! There are only limited quantities available and passes go on sale at 7AM PT. Those who purchase this new service will get access to every Lightning Lane once per day, including Lightning Lane Single Pass options.

Unlike Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, you don’t need to choose a return time — instead, you can head straight to the Lightning Lane for the attraction you want to ride and hop right in line. You’ll also get unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads along with PhotoPass lenses when you purchase Premier Pass.

When it first rolls out, Disneyland’s Lightning Lane Premier Pass will cost $400 per person, per day through the rest of 2024. Beginning in 2025, the pricing will vary by date and will cost between $300 and $400 per person, per day. Premier Pass can be purchased through the Disneyland app — check out how below!

At first, we didn’t see it as an option on the Disneyland app homepage, but we found it when we searched for “Lightning Lane Premier Pass” within the app. Once selected, you’ll see the option to purchase Premier Pass. Click on “Purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass” to continue.

From there, the calendar will pop up that will allow you to select the date you want to use Premier Pass — up to two days in advance. We chose October 23rd since that’s when we were testing it out.

Then, you’ll be taken to a screen with your chosen date along with a box to check that you’re purchasing the service. Once you’ve confirmed your details, check the box and click on “Continue.”

The next screen gives you details about who the pass is being purchased for — make sure your entire group is listed before you continue. This is where you’ll also see your purchase subtotal. Click on “Continue” to continue your purchase. Once your purchase is complete, you’ll get a scannable “ticket.”

And, there you have it! It’s as easy as that to drop $400+ on Lightning Lane Premier Pass at Disneyland.
We’ll be testing the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass out at both Disneyland and Disney World, so make sure you stay tuned to AllEars if you want to know all about how it works!
