Disney’s Hollywood Studios is an amazing park for foodies…if you know where to look!

So many iconic snacks fill the menus of the restaurants there including the Wookiee Cookie at Backlot Express, Totchos at Woody’s Lunch Box, and don’t forget the Cobb Salad at the Hollywood Brown Derby. But there’s one restaurant that you probably keep skipping (maybe you’re confused or nervous about it) so here’s why you should give it a chance!
In case you missed it, Emma is doing the biggest AllEars challenge yet. She has to do EVERYTHING in Disney World in 100 days! Recently she visited Docking Bay 7 in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with Sage to review some of the food there. This is one of Sage’s favorite restaurants in the entire park…and for good reason!
First, some backstory. The restaurant opened with Galaxy’s Edge in 2019 and is the main quick service location here. This isn’t your typical theme park fast food spot, though, because the menu is a bit more elevated than the usual chicken tenders and burgers.

For example, you’ll find the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip ($16.29) which includes crispy chicken with macaroni and cheese and harvest vegetables. Emma tried this one and pointed out that it is one of the safer options here for pickier eaters. Don’t let the fun name fool you!

The mac and cheese won’t be the best you can find at Disney World, but it’s creamy and still a solid side to this meal. Sometimes the chicken can be a bit dry, but on this last visit, it wasn’t! The inside was nice and juicy while the outside was super crispy — it lived up to the “crispy chicken” description!
If Emma could change one thing, she would make the vegetables a bit crispier. However, they were seasoned nicely and added a bit of color to the meal.

Sage’s pick was the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip ($16.29) which has crispy chicken covered in spicy chipotle sauce, white rice, and relish made of sweet corn, shishito peppers, jicama, plantains, and cilantro. You don’t usually see all of those in one dish at a theme park!

The reason this is a go-to for Sage is because it doesn’t have “Disney spice” AKA not much of a kick to it. This is legitimately spicy! The plate is well-balanced overall with the cool relish to offset the spicy chicken and the white rice as a palate cleanser.

Bonus hack: After 3PM, Docking Bay 7 also serves the classic Ronto Wrap usually served at Ronto Roasters.

I could definitely go for a Ronto wrap right now! It’s very good and reasonably priced!
