Are you planning a trip to Disney World?
Maybe you’re planning a special trip, where you’re getting married or celebrating a big occasion, or just want to live your best life. If so, you might have considered taking a private jet to Disney World, which is actually possible if you’re flying into Orlando International Airport or Orlando Sanford Airport. So now that you know it’s possible, how much does it cost? Well, let’s look into that.
So here’s the thing: many private jet companies don’t allow you to book online or search for prices, but we did find a few that would. So we’re going to take a look at those costs first.
Private Jet to MCO (Orlando Interational Airport)
We checked out three companies to get rates for a private flight to Orlando International Airport. We used Chicago O’Hare (ORD) as our starting airport because it seemed like a good place to start. Mercury Jets charges anywhere from $13,430 each way for a small turbo prop plane to $28,540 for a heavy jet (which would seat more people).
Evo Jets charges anywhere from $19,600 to $26,200 for a light jet and from $73,000 to $96,500 for an ultra long range jet. Those prices are for a round trip, though. Finally, VistaJet charges $11,000 per hour for private jet charter flights.
Private Jet to Orlando Sanford Airport (SFB)
If you’d like to fly into Orlando Sanford Airport via private jet, that’s an option, too. For the same dates to and from Chicago O’Hare, you’d pay Mercury Jets $13,440 each way for a turbo prop plane and $29,890 for a heavy jet.
For Evo Jets, you’d pay $35,000 to $47,500 for a light jet and $73,000 to $94,500 for an ultra long range jet. Again, VistaJet starts at $11,000 per hour.
So here’s our disclaimer: many private jet companies don’t put their prices online, so you may need to call around to get the best price. Also, many airports with private hangers or fixed base operators may offer private flights, so you’d need to research those, too. It’s worth consideration because if you are traveling with a large group, you could end up saving money on flights if everyone splits the cost.
Vaunt
However, there is another option, but you’ll need to have a very flexible schedule. Vaunt is an app that allows you to fly on unlimited private flights for just $995 per year. That price covers all fees, so you don’t have to pay extra for things like baggage. You can also board as many private flights in the year as you want and bring as many passengers as the plane can hold for no additional cost.
It works like this: you’ll use the Vaunt app to view all private flights that are available. These flights are usually only posted 3-5 days before departure, though. You’ll then join a waitlist for the flight you want, and if you’re selected, you’ll get a 24-hour notice before the flight. It’s very last-minute, but if you’re flexible, you can do a lot of flying this way.
However, each Vaunt member can use one Priority Upgrade per year, which will allow you to jump to the top of the waitlist, basically assuring that you get on that flight. Also, when you fly, you get the entire jet to yourself and the people you’ve invited along.
So if you are flexible on when you travel and you find a flight to Orlando, you can grab a private jet on Vaunt whenever you want in a calendar year, if you’re a member.
There is a catch, though: your return flight is NOT secured, so you’d have to probably book a commercial flight to get back home. Considering how last-minute Vaunt works, this could prove tricky as many commercial flights fill up quickly.
So to answer the question: can you book a private jet to Disney World, the answer is definitively “yes” if you have the money or are flexible enough to fly at pretty much a moment’s notice.
