SURPRISE! An Iconic Magic Kingdom Ride Is Reopening 4 Days EARLY

We go to Disney World every day and we get surprised ALL of the time — both good and bad.

We’re surprised by some of the news Disney announces (you should have seen the shock when they announced Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America were being replaced), and we’re surprised by lovely Cast Members in the parks. Now, we have another surprise — this time, a ride is reopening EARLY from refurbishment!

Peter Pan’s Flight is an opening day attraction at Magic Kingdom. Yes, it’s been around for a LONG. TIME. That means it’s going to need some TLC every now and then, like any other Disney ride.

So, on July 8th this year, Disney closed the attraction for a regular refurbishment. Luckily, though, it was scheduled to reopen about a month and a half later on August 20th. Or so we thought!

Disney has now updated the calendar and website to reveal that the attraction will reopen TOMORROW, August 16th! It’s likely that there weren’t any major changes to the ride, but we’ll have to see for ourselves tomorrow.

This ride missed the switch from Genie+ to Lightning Lane Multi Pass on July 24th. Peter Pan’s Flight is a Tier 1 attraction that is available through the skip-the-line service. It tends to be a popular pick since lines get long here, so we recommend grabbing a Lightning Lane time for it if you buy the service.
