We’ve been getting more and more excited about the new third theme park coming to Universal Orlando, Epic Universe.
So far, we’ve had details about all five lands the park will contain, including Celestial Park, How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic. Now, we know the new park is set to open in 2025, but we don’t have an exact date. However, we think we may have found a clue about the opening date for Epic Universe.
Universal just dropped a new vacation package offer that includes up to $1,000 dining card per room, four or more nights at a Universal Orlando hotel, 2-park park-to-park or 3-park park-to-park tickets for 4-5 days, a free souvenir photo, and more.
So, you might think? What does this have to do with Epic Universe? Well, it’s highly likely that this promo deal was dropped because attendance may be down at Universal. That’s because a lot of people are likely waiting until 2025 to visit after Epic Universe opens.
What’s most interesting is that the offer is for travel between November 7th, 2024-December 19th, 2024, and January 5th, 2025 through April 10th, 2025. So what does that tell us? Well, it’s likely Universal won’t need an offer once Epic Universe opens, so Epic Universe is likely to open sometime after April 10th, 2025.
Interestingly enough, two Epic Universe hotels will be opening ahead of that. Universal Stella Nova Resort is set to open on January 21st, 2025, while Universal Terra Nova Resort is set to open on February 25th. Meanwhile, the in-park hotel, Universal Grand Helios Hotel, just has an opening timeline of 2025 (we’re guessing it will open closer to Epic Universe’s opening).
Of course, we won’t know for sure when Epic Universe is opening until Universal decides to announce the opening date, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it and share it with you as soon as we know anything new! So check back with AllEars again soon.

If this is true, what would it mean for the other parks? We are visiting april 20th – may 1th 2025 from the Netherlands and don’t want to be caught in the Epic crowd in the other Universal Parks. And I have no desire of visiting Epic days after opening.
