A NEW 'Coco' Disney Park Show Is Premiering SOON!

Buckle up, Coco fans because you’re in for a real treat!

We learned a ton of exciting news and announcements at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event about what’s in store at Disney California Adventure, including the first-ever Coco ride. But, that’s not the only new Coco experience in store for this park, and the newest one is coming soon!

Mark your calendars because a NEW Coco show is coming to Disney California Adventure!

“The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!” will be performed several times daily at Disney California Adventure Park beginning on August 30th. Disney shared that during this show, we’ll be able to “enjoy musical moments from the beloved Disney and Pixar Academy Award-winning film Coco, such as ‘Remember Me,’ ‘The World Es Mi Familia’ and the iconic Mexican folk song ‘La Llorona,’ among others.”

Not only that, but in between performances of the show, there will be a meet and greet with Miguel who has been “brought to life as a hand-animated dimensional figure.”

Also at Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure, from August 23rd through November 2nd, you can celebrate Día de los Muertos with all kinds of activities, including visiting the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) and posting personal messages to your loved ones on the Memory Wall. You can also design your own paper alebrije masks of Dante and Pepita, the spirit guides from Coco.

We also recently learned that a new Coco ride will be coming to Disney California Adventure! Disney shared at D23 that on this ride, we’ll be joining Miguel on a special journey, seeing characters, and hearing unforgettable songs from Coco on a trip to the Land of the Dead.
