Hey there! Let’s have a talk about the hotels at Disney World.
But we’re not just talking about things like the differences between Value/Moderate/Deluxe or the specific perks. No, we’re super curious about the best Disney World Hotel hacks possible. We wanted to find out your thoughts on the matter. Well, we asked, and you delivered!
We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “What are your BEST Disney World hotel hacks/tips/tricks?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!
Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!
Bell Services
First up, let’s talk about the Bell Services at your Disney World hotel. Not many people make use of them (maybe few still even know they exist).
But here’s where you come in. AE reader Chris shared, “On the day I’m leaving I like to leave my luggage with bell services and spend the day at Disney Springs. Then I pack any merch in my carry-ons and get a late flight home. Great use of a non-park day.”
AE reader Dave echoed the sentiment with, “Shawn shared, “Drop off your luggage with bell services on check-in day. Then hop on over to Disney Springs and get all your souvenir shopping out of the way.”
So, basically, you’re going to want to take advantage of this and leave your luggage in a safe environment while you get to enjoy a couple of hours at Disney Springs before you leave for home. We’re all going to do this next trip, right?!
Paypal
Alright, International travelers. This one’s for you. Tina, an intrepid AE reader shared, “For those visiting from the UK, change your PayPal address to your resort before you leave the UK, you will be able to use the online shopping from Publix and get essentials delivered.”
Now this is a hack that’s going to be so handy for you especially when you want to have some of those essentials delivered right to your hotel. You really can’t beat it!
Outer Rim
Let’s face it, sometimes you just need a peaceful and relaxing moment for yourself when you’re on your Disney World trip. That’s where this hack comes in clutch! To that point, AE reader Jerry shared, “For a lovely peaceful moment, get yourself a nice drink at the Outer Rim in the Contemporary, and watch the electrical water pageant. It’s a nice way to decompress after a park day.”
As Jerry mentioned, there’s nothing better than getting to decompress after a long (and hot) day at the parks, and you get to do it while enjoying a water show and a drink!
Preferred Rooms
One thing that’s definitely true is that you’re basically going to be walking the equivalent of a marathon at Disney World, so you really have to consider where your hotel room is going to be located in the Disney World hotel.
Speaking directly to that, AE reader Untangled Adventures shared, “Always book the “preferred rooms”. After a long day a park, a short walk to your room is magic” We can’t express how true those words are! You’re already going to be logging a TON of steps throughout your day at the parks, so why add more to your life when you could be staying in a room a bit closer?
Swan and Dolphin
Last up, you shared what has to be one of the best “hidden gems” when it comes to Disney World hotels. Chaka shared, “Swan and Dolphin are incredible values with some of the best locations on WDW property!”
We completely agree! You can typically get great value for the price at these resorts. Also, you have the added bonus that they’re owned by Marriott, so don’t miss out on earning and using your rewards here!
Well, those were just some of your thoughts on your best Disney World Hotel hacks, and we want to hear more from you! In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
