I’m Spilling My BIGGEST Secret to Getting Good Photos in Disney World

This can be one of the most important parts of your Disney World trip!

I love Disney World!

Going to Disney World can be so exciting == especially when there are new things like major EPCOT updates, the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and special after hours events! While all of this is going on, you’re also busy grabbing photos and videos so you can save those memories. To help make that less stressful, I’m spilling my BIGGEST secret to getting good photos in Disney World!

Taking pictures in Disney World can be one of the most important parts of your trip especially if this might be the only time you might go to the parks! I’m lucky enough to go to Disney World every day but it hasn’t always been that way and growing up, looking back at my Disney photos made me so happy because I could easily reminisce on those special times with my family.

Family photos!

I typically use my own phone or camera to take photos, but you can also purchase photos through Disney if you use their Photopass Photographers. Disney offers packages called Memory Maker where you can have Disney photographers take pictures of you throughout Disney World. Now this option can be pricey, but it’s available and can help make sure every member of the family is present in your pictures.

Whether you’re using your phone or Photopass though, there is a way to make sure you get the best Disney pictures possible and it’s super simple! My biggest secret and tip is to take pictures during Golden Hour. Now this might not seem like the biggest secret but it can make a world of difference!

Golden hour is the hour right before the sun sets, so the light around you becomes less harsh and looks a bit more orange and red. This time of day makes photos look so warm and not over exposed, which can happen when you take photos in the middle of the day. My best photos in any Disney park are taken during this time.

Now this isn’t too say only take photos during this time. I highly encourage you to take pictures all the time throughout the day so you can save as many memories as possible but for best results, take even more during golden hour!
