2 NEW Rides Announced for Epic Universe at Universal Orlando…and They Might Be the BEST Ones Yet

Universal just dropped a bunch of Epic Universe news, so buckle up!

We can’t wait to experience all the new coasters, attractions, lands, and hotels that make Universal one of the best in the biz. We’ve been hearing news about each new land coming to Epic Universe bit by bit, and now we’re talking about Dark Universe!

Universal just revealed the new rides (!!!) coming to Dark Universe — the classic Universal Monsters-themed land.

The first new ride is named Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein ExperimentUniversal is calling it its “most terrifying attraction yet” and takes riders into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor. This is, of course, where Dr. Victoria Frankenstein “conducts her twisted experiments”, but she has invited guests into her lab to “witness a demonstration of her ability to control monsters.”

These plans go awry when she fails to control Dracula, the most dangerous monster. Throughout the ride, you will try to escape from The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Brides of Dracula, and more. It’s going to be a blast for Universal Monsters.

Curse of the Werewolf is the second major ride coming to Dark Universe. It’s a spinning family coaster inspired by The Wolf Man and takes you deep into the woods of Darkmoor. Universal says riders “will enter the encampment of The Guild of Mystics where they’ll be greeted by the Maleva, the guild’s all-knowing seer and leader, who warns them that they bear the mark of the werewolf.”

You’ll board the wagon and head into the forest where you can race to escape the werewolves before you become one yourself! Here’s a look at the concept art for the attraction.

We also got a look at the rides coming to Celestial ParkHow to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, and Super Nintendo World. That just leaves The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic for us to learn about!
