8 NEW Perks Announced For Disney Vacation Club Members

In addition to accommodations at Disney properties around the world, being a DVC member also means special merchandise, discounts, special events, lounges, and more. Well, Disney just announced some NEW perks for DVC members, and we think you’re going to want to take advantage of ALL of them.

Disney has announced the first-ever Welcome Home Weeks, a limited-time celebration for DVC members that will take place from July 22nd through August 24th. Eligible DVC members will get to enjoy special events, exclusive snacks, and new experiences at Disney parks and hotels.

For starters, DVC members will be able to get a FREE Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar, ice cream sandwich, or fruit bar at select Disney World and Disneyland locations during Welcome Home Weeks:

  • Tower of Terror Courtyard at Hollywood Studios on Mondays and Tuesdays starting July 22nd from 11AM-2PM
  • Upper Bradley Falls at Animal Kingdom on Thursdays and Fridays, starting July 25th from 1PM-4PM.


  • Star View Station at Disneyland — A Member Lounge from July 23rd, August 6th, and August 20th from 2PM-4PM
  • Golden Vine House at California Adventure from July 30th through August 13th from 2PM-4PM

Disney will also host a Welcome Home Wakeup that will include coffee and a morning treat at the following locations (dates and times will be announced later):

Disney will also host a Welcome Home Wednesday Wine Mixer with wine and appetizers in Disneyland at the Wedding Garden at the Grand Californian Hotel on July 31st and August 14th from 4:30PM-5:30PM.

The event will also include exclusive character experiences:

  • Disney World: Meet characters from Frozen at the Ballroom Fantasia J at the Contemporary Resort on July 22nd, July 23rd, July 29th, July 30th, August 12th, and August 13th.
  • Disneyland: Character experience with a sketch artist and dance party at Sleeping Beauty Pavilion in the Disneyland Hotel on July 22nd and August 19th from 2PM-4PM.
  • Disney’s Vero Beach Resort: Pirate-themed experience in the Resort Lobby Thursdays, starting on July 25th.
  • Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort: Visits from characters, a pool party, and fireworks at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina on Tuesdays, starting on July 23rd.

If you’re a DVC member, you can also get FREE Ice Cream at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa at Disney World at the Disney Vacation Club Preview Center. Dates and times are TBD.

At Disney’s Aulani Resort, enjoy complimentary lei-making and hula lessons on the Hālāwai Lawn on July 15th, August 1st, and August 15th from 9AM-10AM and 11AM-12PM. You can also take free tote stamping and ukulele lessons on July 23rd, July 30th, August 13th, and August 20th at Kīpuka Lawn and on August 8th in the Kaiona Ballroom from 9AM-10AM and 11AM-12PM.


DVC Members will also get a 20% one-time-use discount on a Mobile Order at Disney World at select locations from July 22nd through August 24th.

There are even some perks you can take advantage of from your own home, including streaming of Westward Walt, available only to DVC Members. You’ll also be able to download some exclusive digital wallpapers.

  1. A little disappointed that I will be missing these exclusive offers on our trip. We are just a few weeks early. Would be nice if the benefit either were longer or you had benefits back to back so individuals can take advantage.
