Will Tiana's Bayou Adventure Be OPEN During Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Disney World Gives Confusing Update

Halloween fans, we’ve got some major updates for you!

Disney dropped a ton of news about this year’s Halloween season for the parks, cruise line, and more, and that includes Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We got info on the dates, price increases, and changes coming to the special after hours event, but there was one HUGE update hiding in the announcements!

In the My Disney Experience app, you’ll find a full guide to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you scroll far enough, you’ll find a list of the attractions that will be open…and that includes Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!!

That’s right — the Princess and the Frog-themed ride will be available to ride during the party…or so we thought! UPDATE: After initially being on the list of attractions included in the party, Disney later removed it.

We’ve been watching the construction progress and behind-the-scenes videos of the new attraction, but we are still waiting on an official opening date.

However, the ride is scheduled to open sometime this summer (with previews happening in June). We thought this meant that the ride would be open before the opening night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The party officially kicks off on August 9th and runs through October 31st, 2024.

This doesn’t mean it WON’T be open by August, because in the past, the ride opens shortly after media previews. But since Disney hasn’t officially announced the opening date, they may not want to commit to it being open during the parties yet. Splash Mountain used to be open during the event, so it would make sense for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to be included as well.
