I’ve Overheard Some Wicked Good Tips From EPCOT Cast Members, and These Are My FAVORITES!

Let’s face it, Cast Members are the real rockstars of Disney World!

They’re the ones responsible for keeping all the magic running smoothly, and we can’t thank them enough! Sometimes, when you chat with them, they can drop some seriously awesome tips. Speaking of that, we wanted to pass on to you a few of our favorite tips and tricks that we’ve snagged from Cast Members all around the World Showcase at EPCOT!

As we said, Cast Members really are the best! They’ve got the scoop on all the inside baseball about everything at Disney World, and when you get the chance to chat with them, they can share the most helpful tips to elevate your EPCOT trip to a whole new level. Let’s go over a couple of those tips now!

General EPCOT Gems:

Skip the Fireworks, Skip the Lines: Not a fan of the nightly fireworks extravaganza? No sweat! While the fireworks are lighting up the skies, that’s the prime time to hit up the rides that tend to have longer queues. You might end up feeling like you got a Lightning Lane without having to pay for it!

Chit-Chat Your Way Around the World Showcase: Next time you’re strolling around the World Showcase, make sure to stop and chat with the Cast Members. Listen, they are a treasure trove of knowledge about their respective countries. Don’t be shy, strike up a conversation and learn something new!

Gear Up for Your Snacking: As you know, EPCOT is definitely a foodie paradise, and those treats can add up quickly! This is especially true when you’re ordering from festival booths. To that point, plan on bringing some small trays so that you can avoid juggling multiple goodies.

Fuel Up Properly: Speaking of food and treats, if you’re not careful, you can definitely drink around the world without realizing that you haven’t eaten a single bite. So don’t make that mistake. Frozen margaritas are great and all, just balance them with some solid food so you can keep your energy up for the full day!

Parental Lifesaver: Got little ones? Don’t forget about Kidcot! It’s like a secret weapon for keeping the kiddos entertained. It’s a mini scavenger hunt that’ll keep them occupied while you enjoy the sights. Look for the Kidcot Fun Stop signs in EPCOT Pavilions to get started!

Queue as a Cosmic Tourist: If you’re not up for the thrill of the ride, that’s totally ok! You can still experience the queue’s incredible theming! You can actually walk through the entire queue and then exit at the end, soaking up all the galactic fun.

Picking Your Perfect Spot: Now, our resident former Cast Member swears by rows one and nine for the ultimate experience, but they’re also quick to note that every row has its own unique perspective! And btw, keep your eyes peeled for the Hidden Mickey on the moon!

Protect Your Tummy: This might feel like a no-brainer, but it’s worth mentioning. Try not to ride Guardians right after a big meal (or on an empty stomach). The last thing you want is to encourage motion sickness when you’re making your intergalactic twists and turns.
