NEW Ticket Scanning System CHANGES Arrive at Disney Park Entrances

BIG changes are taking place at Disney parks around the world!

Disney California Adventure

The EPCOT Transformation is almost complete in Disney World, Fantasy Springs is opening soon at Tokyo Disneyland, and changes are even coming to Disneyland Resort!

Disneyland has officially started testing out a new turnstile system! A test entry gate was recently installed at Disney California Adventure, according to Scott Gustin on X/Twitter.

We first learned that these updates were likely on the way when we spotted some new permits related to the work back in January.

The updates will include adding more gates and making the gates ADA- accessible and stroller-friendly. These gates appear to work like the gates at Disneyland Paris and will automatically open after a Cast Member scans and validates your theme park ticket.

According to Gustin, the test gate will be removed and official work will begin later this year. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

We’ll be testing out this new entrance soon to give you an idea of how it works, so don’t forget to check back for that!
