NEWS: Disney Files Permits for Park Entrance CHANGES

Disneyland has been busy making a lot of changes in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland

In Disneyland, Tarzan’s Treehouse was recently revamped to become Adventureland Treehouse, and construction is still underway on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. In California Adventure, San Fransokyo Square recently opened. But now, MORE changes are coming to the parks.

According to some recent building permits filed with the City of Anaheim, Disneyland has plans to update the entrance gates for both Disneyland and California Adventure. Here’s the permit for the Disneyland Resort turnstile and gate update:

The updates will include adding more gates, as well as making the gates ADA- accessible and stroller-friendly. It’s believed that these new gates will work like the gates at Disneyland Paris and will automatically open after a Cast Member scans and validates your theme park ticket.

This could mean that you’ll see signs of construction at the entrances later on in the year, so that could make getting into Disneyland a little tricker — at least while construction is underway. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any potential issues the construction could cause and let you know what we see.
