I Didn’t Want To Tell You About My NEW Hiding Place in Disney World, But My Editor Is Making Me Do It

Come one, come all, and gather ’round because I’m about to let you in on a little secret I’ve been keeping under wraps for years: my personal hiding spots in Disney World.

Spaceship Earth

You heard me right! These are the places I sneak off to when I need a breather from the chaos and crowds. But don’t tell anyone, okay? My editor’s making me spill the beans, so let’s keep this between us!

Let’s get right into my personal hiding spots in Disney World!

EPCOT, The Land Pavilion, Living with the Land

Picture this: You’re cruising through serene landscapes, surrounded by greenery, as you hear the gentle voiceover and hum of the ride. It’s definitely my go-to spot for a moment of zen in the middle of EPCOT madness.

Living with the Land

Living with the Land isn’t just a journey through agricultural innovation. It’s a refuge from the hustle and bustle of EPCOT. As you drift along, you’re enveloped by the sights and sounds of nature, providing a peaceful escape from the excitement of the park.

Whether it’s the soothing sound of rain falling on the greenhouse roofs or the sight of lush vegetation stretching out as far as the eye can see, this ride never fails to transport me to a place of tranquility.

Magic Kingdom, Tom Sawyer Island Caves

At Magic Kingdom, when the sun’s blazing and the crowds are overwhelming, you’ll find me ducking into these caves for a little peace and quiet. I know it’s a little on the nose for a hiding place, but they really feel like my own little hideouts away from the hustle and bustle.

The cool darkness of the caves provides relief from the Florida sun, and the silence is a stark contrast to the lively atmosphere of the park. As I navigate the twists and turns of the tunnels, I feel like I’m on my own mini adventure, far removed from the crowds of people outside.

Plus, there’s something undeniably nostalgic about exploring caves just like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn did in the classic stories.

EPCOT, Japan Pavilion, Katsura Grill Seating Area

Ahh, you get such a sense of tranquility from sitting amidst bamboo and serene surroundings. This spot outside Katsura Grill is like stumbling upon a hidden oasis in the middle of the park. It’s perfect for a breather and some much-needed relaxation.

Japan Pavilion

The Japan Pavilion has always been one of my favorite spots in EPCOT, with its meticulously landscaped gardens and traditional architecture. But it’s the seating area outside Katsura Grill that truly captures my heart.

Whether I’m enjoying a quiet meal or simply sitting and taking in the beauty of my surroundings, this hidden gem never fails to rejuvenate me.

Animal Kingdom, Rafiki’s Planet Watch

Whether I’m chilling inside the building or hanging out in the petting zoo area, Rafiki’s Planet Watch is my escape from the crowds. It’s off the beaten path, which makes it the ideal spot for some quiet time.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch

Rafiki’s Planet Watch may be a bit out of the way, but that’s exactly what makes it so special. As you board the train and journey to this hidden corner of Animal Kingdom, you leave the hustle and bustle of the main park behind and enter a tranquil oasis dedicated to conservation and education.

It’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and appreciate the beauty of the animal kingdom.

EPCOT, The American Adventure

Okay, okay, hear me out on this one. There’s something weirdly calming about the American Adventure attraction. It may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of relaxation but trust me, it’s a hidden gem for a quick snooze.

American Adventure Pavilion

As you settle into the plush seats of the theater and the lights dim, you’re enveloped by the stirring music and inspirational storytelling of the show. It’s the perfect atmosphere for a little shut-eye, especially after a long day of exploring the park.

And let’s be honest, who hasn’t been tempted to sneak in a nap during those moments of downtime between scenes? Just be sure to set an alarm so you don’t sleep through the whole thing!

Magic Kingdom, Hall of Presidents

This is going to sound like an echo considering I just talked about the American Adventure, and I know what you’re thinking, but those seats here are also surprisingly comfy! Plus, there’s something oddly soothing about the ambiance. Also, a quick power nap here can work wonders, trust me.

Hall of Presidents

The Hall of Presidents may not be the most thrilling attraction in Magic Kingdom, but it has its own unique charm. As you take your seat in the dimly lit theater and the animatronic figures come to life on stage, there’s a sense of reverence and respect that fills the air. It’s a quiet moment of reflection amidst the excitement of the park, and the perfect opportunity to rest your feet and recharge your batteries.

So go ahead, take advantage of those comfy seats, and sneak in a quick nap. After all, even Disney pros need a little downtime every now and then.

  1. These are great places to wind down for sure! I would also include the Carousel of Progress to this list. One of my husband and my go to spots.
