3 CLUES About the NEW Land Expansion at Universal Orlando

Did you hear the news?! Universal just dropped a ton of updates about the new DreamWorks Land expansion coming to Orlando and we can’t wait to check it all out.

But, it wouldn’t be a major theme park announcement if we didn’t do our best to find any potential clues hiding within the news. So, let’s get to it!

DreamWorks Land will be a “vivid world” featuring characters, rides, and themed areas from some of DreamWorks’ most beloved movies. You’ll find special treats, photo-op murals, interactive play areas, splash pads, and entertainment, too, themed to movies like Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, and more.

In addition to the announcements, we also got some new concept art. Let’s dive in and see if we can find any clues!

We know that there will be a Shrek meet and greet at Shrek’s Swamp Meet in this land, and it looks like we’ll get to experience that at the iconic ogre’s cottage. In the background, we think we spy Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres which potentially has some sort of outhouse situation, so at least your kids will get to experience that.

Over in Trolls Village, we’re excited to check out the Trollercoaster and ride the Caterbus. Except, judging by those evil spiders in the concept art — maybe we don’t actually want to ride it. It looks like there’s a Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground vibe going on over here with those blades of grass being pretty large.

We don’t know about you, but Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp sounds pretty cool. This wet and dry play area will feature water cannons, buckets, and more, and we are excited to explore this new land. In addition to the play area, the interactive gong in the center of the concept art sounds interesting as well.

There will also be DreamWorks Imagination Celebration, where popular animated stories come to life with hit pop songs, high-energy dancing, tech, and more to create a party atmosphere that will transport guests into the worlds of their favorite stories in the new DreamWorks Theater.

And, at DreamWorks Character Zone, you’ll be able to meet with characters from shows like Gabby’s Dollhouse and more.
