Good eats can be synonymous with the Disney Parks, and we are always on the hunt for the best restaurants to check out on your next vacation!

It’s been a long day at the Disneyland Resort and you and your family are looking to settle in for dinner at a great Disney restaurant. You already know about some of the best eats over at Disneyland, but you want to try something delicious at Disney California Adventure (DCA)…where should you go? DON’T WORRY — we have you covered! Here are the best Disney California Adventure restaurants to eat at in 2024!
We’ve eaten at EVERY Disney California Adventure restaurant, and while most options are excellent and will leave you satisfied, a few stood above the rest. Let’s take a look!
Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge

Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge is the cream of the crop when it comes to fine dining at DCA! Carthay Circle houses a second-floor restaurant and reproduction of the famous Carthay Circle Theatre in Los Angeles (the same one that premiered Walt Disney’s first film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) and is ideal for romantic dates and special occasions.
The menu is inspired by Napa Rose Culinary Director Chef Andrew Sutton and features a wide array of sophisticated dishes, classic cocktails, Disney Family wines, and delicious appetizers.
Be advised that this reservation can be hard to come by last minute and the pricing is some of the highest you will find in all of Disneyland. The first floor does feature a lounge, though, with a HUGE drink list and more affordable eats.

Wine Country Trattoria

This elegant wine and Italian cuisine restaurant is a hot spot in DCA when it comes to fine dining without a killer price tag. Wine Country Trattoria boasts a menu inspired by Napa Valley and has a healthy mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The curved pergola offers some nice shade and no matter where you sit you should get some nice views — either of the park around you or the rustic features inside. You can even indulge in a dining package for World of Color!
The menu includes some great Italian classics as well as some really solid plant-based options. Of course, you also get a long list of cocktails, beer, cider, seltzer, sparkling wine, white wine, red wine, and wine flight options!

Lamplight Lounge

Lamplight Lounge at Pixar Pier is essentially an ode to Pixar films and artists in restaurant form. It features an outdoor patio upstairs and indoor and outdoor seating downstairs. A great choice no matter the time of day, this restaurant offers brunch, lunch, and dinner.
You’ll find fantastically elevated pub grub at Lamplight Lounge, as well as some colorful beverages. If you like seafood, make sure you try the Lobster Nachos!

Pym Test Kitchen

If you’re a Marvel fan, you NEED to check out Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus! Themed around the Ant-Man franchise, this unique restaurant has food that comes in both tony and giant-sized portions, a nod to Pym Particles.
From giant pretzels to mini pasta, this quick service location has a little bit of something for everyone with some safe, yet tasty choices. It also comes equipped with an outdoor bar and several fun theming choices that really make you feel like you’re part of Ant-Man’s world!

Smokejumpers Grill

Smokejumpers Grill is another quick service location that can be undervalued at times. Serving fairly priced classic American fare, this restaurant is modeled after a California firefighters’ hanger.
Some of the menu items include burgers, chicken, salads, crinkle-cut fries, onion rings, and plant-based options — simple yet satisfying! You can also find delicious ice cream shakes, seasonal cocktails, and beer. Smokejumpers Grill offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.

HONORABLE MENTION: San Fransokyo Restaurants

San Fransokyo Square, based on Disney’s Big Hero 6, offers some of the best theming DCA has to offer. It also features a nice variety of food and beverage options. From Asian food, to Mexican food, to Boudin bread, to coffee, San Fransokyo Square has a little bit of everything.
The square’s eateries include:
- Aunt Cass Café
- Cappuccino Cart
- Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill
- Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
- Lucky Fortune Cookery
- Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería
- Rita’s Turbine Blenders
