NEWS: A Disney World Hotel Store Has FINALLY REOPENED!

We have noticed A LOT of closures around Disney World.

Basin at the Grand Floridian closed recently!

It’s been mildly heartbreaking watching rides, attractions, restaurants, and stores close throughout the parks and Disney Springs. But now, we have some good news for you!

Not long ago, the shop Basin at Disney’s Grand Floridian closed for refurbishments. The refurbishment was meant to add more handicap-friendly aspects.

When we stopped by the Grand Floridian on January 21st, we noticed that the shop had re-opened its doors! Basin, which can be found at both the Grand Floridian and Disney Springs, is a luxury bath store. You can find bath bombs, bath fizzes, sugar scrubs, lip balms, handmade soap, and more!

It has officially reopened!

The changes were subtle but great! The walkways have been opened up a bit to make traversing the aisles easier for everyone. Now you can move around people who are at the sinks testing out the products. And the sink area is all new.

There’s more room to maneuver through the store!

There are also new “marble” tables lit from the inside. These replaced the old ones that had white panels that were inlaid and difficult for the Cast Members to clean. The new sinks are also all covered with no pipes exposed and they don’t stick out into the walkways as far as they used to.

All of the new details seem to make life easier for the Cast Members as well as for anyone who needs a little extra room to maneuver around the store. The changes are subtle, but we are excited for an easier shopping experience for all!
