If You Need Us, We'll Be Eating This NEW 100th Anniversary Dessert in EPCOT!

October 16th marks the official 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, and lots of celebrations are underway.

We’ve gotten to check out a whole new Disney100 merchandise collection, welcomed a brand new attraction at EPCOT, and have even celebrated throughout the Food and Wine Festival by trying out some treats from some celebratory booths. Now, there’s a new way to celebrate at EPCOT, especially if you like chocolate.

There’s a new Disney100 Chocolate Temple available at La Hacienda de San Angel as well as San Angel Inn Restaurante. It’s a “velvety chocolate temple filled with dulce de leche ice cream served atop crispy churros, cajeta, and fresh, seasonal fruit.” Of course, we headed straight to San Angel Inn to order it! This is like a cooler, older sister version of the 50th Anniversary Pyramid that was available throughout Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.

When the chocolate temple arrived to our table, we were immediately impressed! Look at this bad boy! It comes with very delicious-looking churro SPIRALS (!!!) and way more fruit than we expected. It came with a bit of condensation, but that’s to be expected with the ice cream inside.

If you wanted to grab this for the table, there are plenty of sweet treat offerings available, even for those who don’t like chocolate. If you ask us, the chocolate is the least-exciting part about all this. I mean, just look at it once we crushed it open to get to all the ice cream.

The ice cream combined with the churros and fruit is just chefs kiss. If you’re looking for a celebratory dessert that could feed the whole fam, this is probably it! It comes with a hefty price tag of $36, but it is a huge, shareable dessert.
