Why Can’t Disney World Have Nice Things Like This?

We love when Disney announces that new projects are coming to their parks.

Magic Kingdom

However, a lot of these announcements are for Disney’s international parks, like Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland, and Tokyo Disney Sea. Don’t believe us? Check out all these awesome projects Disney’s international parks are getting soon!

Hong Kong Disneyland

EVERYTHING Frozen Related

Hong Kong Disneyland isn’t the only park getting a Frozen land, but it is the one that’s expected to open the fastest. We have Frozen Ever After in EPCOT in Disney World, and Hong Kong is getting an equivalent of that ride, but they’re also getting a whole Frozen rollercoaster!

This new coaster is called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs and was built by Wandering Oaken himself with the help of Olaf and Sven, who also help pull the sleds.

Hong Kong Disneyland is also getting a whole new Frozen-themed restaurant called Golden Crocus Inn. It’s named after the national symbol of Arendelle and is a place where all the locals love to have parties and celebrations and enjoy the delicious, diverse cuisine.

They’ll also be getting a new Frozen-themed toy shop called Tik Tok Toys & Collectibles. It’s owned by a wood carver and his wife and is the perfect place to grab your Arendelle collectibles.

Seriously, we’re SO jealous of this whole new land.

Disneyland Paris

Mickey-Shaped Buns

A popular Disneyland Paris restaurant just reopened with a new look, but part of that new look includes MICKEY-SHAPED BUNS on their sandwiches??

©Disney

Um, we want Mickey buns! We get plenty of Mickey-shaped eats in Disney World, but Mickey buns are a whole different ball game.

A Coco-Themed Restaurant

Yep, you heard us. Disneyland Paris is renovating their Mexican-themed restaurant Fuente Del Oro in Frontierland to become a Coco-themed restaurant.

©Disney

Like, this could fit so well in EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion too, right? We need this in Disney World ASAP. Why not re-theme one of the restaurants in the Mexico pavilion? We’ll have our people call Disney’s people.

Pixar Show

If you love Pixar as much as we do, you may be just as jealous that we don’t have this super cool Pixar-themed stage show at Walt Disney Studios park called “Pixar: We Belong Together” to celebrate the park’s 30th Anniversary.

©Disney

From the concept art, we know that Monsters Inc. characters will be stars of the show, but tons more Pixar characters will be part of the experience. Yes, we’re VERY jealous.

A DRONE Show?!

Also to celebrate the park’s 30th Anniversary, Disneyland Paris premiered “Avengers: Power the Night” in January, which is a literal DRONE SHOW that uses lighting sequences from the drones, plus music, lights, pyrotechnics, and video projections onto the Tower of Terror to create the show.

This show only ran until May 8th in Walt Disney Studios park, but we want it in the U.S. RIGHT NOW!

Shanghai Disneyland

Epic Toy Story Rooms

Listen, we’ve got some pretty cool themed hotels in Disney World and Disneyland, but what about epically themed Toy Story rooms?

©Disney

Shanghai Disneyland introduced these amazing Toy Story rooms that are inside their Toy Story Hotel. The Toy Box Suites are perfect for families and the Buzz Lightyear Exploration Room are so impressive we don’t even have words.

See more of these Toy Story rooms here!

Donald Duck Restaurant

If you love Donald Duck, then you’re probably really jealous that Shanghai Disneyland got an adorable Donald Duck restaurant that we’ve started dreaming about.

©Disney

The official name of the restaurant is Donald’s Dine ‘n Delights and it specializes in steak with adorable butter sculptures of Donald on top, but there are lots of other options to choose from. And we want it NOW!

EPIC Zootopia Animatronics

Shanghai Disneyland is also getting a whole new Zootopia-themed land, which we’re HUGELY jealous of!

Shanghai Disney’s Zootopia Expansion – Artist Rendering

Not only that though, we got a look back in 2021 at what a Judy Hopps animatronic could look like in this area of the park, and if Shanghai gets this and we never see it step foot in the U.S., we just may riot.

See how the animatronic looks here!

Tokyo DisneySea

Every Themed Land We’ve Ever Wanted

And Tokyo takes the cake with its multiple new themed lands coming to the park over the next few years.

©Disney

Tokyo DisneySea is getting THREE new themed lands soon. One is themed to Peter Pan, one to Frozen (similar to Hong Kong Disneyland’s), and one to Tangled. Seriously, we’ve been begging for a Tangled attraction for YEARS!

Read all about these new lands and see their concept art here!

See what we mean? Don’t get us wrong, we love Disney World and Disneyland, but we’d love to get some new attractions like these into our U.S. parks. We do know that Disney has hedged that Magic Kingdom could be getting an expansion in the future, and Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland may become Zootopia or Moana themed lands as well. We don’t know anything for sure yet though, so stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
