We recently got another sneak peek at the new Haunted Mansion film coming soon, and a major Netflix producer is leaving the company for Disney. Sometimes though, the news is not at all positive. It was recently announced that four Paramount+ shows are not being renewed for another season, but more than that, they’re being removed from the platform completely.

Yes, you read that right. According to Variety, Paramount+ has canceled the second seasons of The Game, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Queen of the Universe, and the existing seasons of the shows will be removed from the streaming service next week.

A Paramount+ spokesperson said the company “extend[s] our thanks to our tremendously talented cast and crew and our producing partners for their passionate work and dedication on these programs, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors.” The decision was apparently data-driven, but Paramount has not shared why these shows are being canceled and removed.

That hasn’t stopped rumors from flying around the internet, however, as many fans are angry that the shows will be erased after their removal, as this is currently the only platform to watch some of them on. Many fans feel that the removal of the shows is so Paramount+ won’t have to make residual payments to the cast and crews, but nothing has been confirmed. Others have speculated if the ongoing WGA strike has had a hand in these cancellations.

CBS Studios will be allowed to shop The Game and Star Trek: Prodigy to other outlets, as Paramount Studios will be allowed to do the same with Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. The last day to watch all four of these shows will be this coming week, so if you’d like to check them out, we suggest turning on that TV ASAP, because if they don’t get picked up by another outlet, it could be the last time these shows could ever be seen.
