If you’re flying to Disney World soon, you might be getting ready to pass through the Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Guests that are arriving or departing for their Walt Disney World vacation soon will want to keep a close watch on their flight times — because MCO is currently experiencing delays caused by technical issues…again.
The Orlando Airport shared an update on Twitter that they’re experiencing departure delays due to a Traffic Management Initiative from the Federal Aviation Administration. The post goes on to say that airspace in the area is busy.
Operational Update: We're currently experiencing departure delays, average of 30 minutes, due to a Traffic Management Initiative with the @FAANews (airspace in the area is busy). For airport status update, please visit: https://t.co/vm0yMYHkcv.

Because the issues are stemming from their Miami base, passengers traveling through Miami International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport are seeing similar delays. Jacksonville International Airport and Tampa International Airport are reportedly not affected for now.
The FAA has restricted flights due to busy airspace which has delayed planes by 45 minutes so far and counting. Currently, guests that are looking to pass through either Orlando International Airport or Miami Airport are strongly encouraged to continue to check on their flights through their flight provider or here to anticipate any delays.
Another report from WESH’s Erik Burris states that they have received reports of 4 flight cancellations along with 39 delays.

We’ve seen delays caused by similar issues in the past when the Miami Center called for reduced flights due to busy airspace.
It’s typically a good idea to keep an eye on your flight status ahead of your trip. Make sure you’ve downloaded the app for whatever airline you’re taking for the most up-to-date information.
