NEWS: A Popular Ride Is Unexpectedly Closed in Disney World

When you head to Disney World, you often have plans to hit the most popular rides early in your park day. But today, we’ve got news that one of the rides on everyone’s list is closed.

Slinky Dog Dash is currently closed.

Slinky Dog Dash is temporarily closed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We spoke with a Disney World Cast Member posted at the entrance of the ride, and they told us that they DO expect the ride to re-open at some point today.

If you purchase Genie+ and have used it to book a time to ride an attraction and that attraction goes down, you’ll get what’s called a multi-experience redemption that’s good for other rides (although some may be excluded, unless it was the ride you’d already booked for).

Slinky Dog Dash Lightning Lane

So if you currently have a Lightning Lane booked for Slinky Dog Dash, you will get this multi-experience redemption in your app, and it will allow you to return to ride Slinky Dog Dash later when it comes back up, or ride another Lightning Lane ride in Magic Kingdom.
